Supercell took part in the campaign combating gender stereotypes

Supercell, the creator of Clash of Clans, Clash Royale and Boom Beach, has taken part in a campaign aimed at combating sexism and gender stereotypes. Therefore, on October 11, on the International Day of Girls, the leadership of the company was transferred for one day to 15-year-old Sonya Corpeline.

The head of Supercell, Ilkka Paananen, said that after talking with Sonya he was very surprised. He came to the conclusion that girls do not even think about the career of a game developer, and therefore companies must fight stereotypes and prove that such work is suitable for representatives of any gender.

Sonya herself admitted that she did not notice the difference between men and women in Supercell. In her opinion, the problem lies in people who do not make it clear that this path is accessible to everyone. “I don’t think that girls can somehow ruin the game industry,” she concluded.
